BE CAREFUL OF :SUN TEAMS ( a well positioned zard y and garchomp can sweep) : FAIRY TYPES THAT HAVE A BOOSTING MOVE ( calm mind floette, sylveon, and primarina ) : STRONG GROUND MOVES NEGATIVE OR AWKWARD MATCH UPS : PRIMARINA ( not to sure about this ) : GHOLDENGO : RAICHU Y WITH PARTNER ( losing position MOST of the time ) : EARLY GAME SNEASLER ( fighting type burst damage is not ideal for the team if grimmsnarl is pressured by it ) ADVANTEGES : GREAT DAMAGE REDUCTION : MEGAS HAVE FANTASTIC SYNERGIES ( so 2 modes between the 2 megas are available ) : GLIMMORA CAN FUNCTION EVEN WITHOUT THE MEGA EVOLUTION ( ex. mega golisopd and glimmora can go together in certain match ups like floette balance or any floette teams 2 fire types. : GOOD WEATHER CONTROL VIA PIVOTING FROM GRIMMSNARL ALTERNATIVE STUFF : WIDE GUARD or TAILWIND CAN BE SWAPPED FOR PROTECT ON PELIPER : GARCHOMP's HELD ITEM CAN BE CHANGED FOR LIFE ORB :THE EV's CAN BE CHANGED DEPENDING ON YOUR PREFERENCES NOTE - The most undesirable thing about is team is that you need to be extra careful when facing fairy types that have set up, such as floette balance. Yes im aware that Mega Glimmora clears, but what if they have Mega Garchomp Z or high horsepower from Rillaboom, then im forced to bring Grimmsnarl and that worsens the match up. In bringing both Mega Golisopod and base Glimmora has some risks the biggest being that Glimmora has no item to take advantage of no extra damage, no extra survivability, and no extra stats. The synergy is still there, however it feels too clunky to use in my opinion. The rain part of the team is just there to support Golisopod in its fire weakness and to compete with other weather teams, so that why Grimmsnarl is there to provide somewhat reliable pivoting and damage reduction so Archaludon can have smoother time setting up passively. The moves tailwind and wide guard on Peliper is for speed control for Archaludon and also Glimmora and some much needed answers for certain moves and strategies like psy-spam and heat wave. Finally Garchomp is there for S.T.A.B ground attacks and it provides a straight up counter to Mega Raichu Y. I know the Glimmora thing contradictory because i also mentioned it on the strengths section, but i still want to avoid confusion ( like anyone is reading this ) WHY I MADE THIS TEAM I LOVE MEGA GOLISOPOD SO MUCH! it is such a fantastic upgrade to the original. STEEL/BUG TYPE are TOUGH CLAWS are amazing adjustments for my favorite competitively pokémon. As for my 3rd favorite Garchomp this is probably the only team that i could think of that can make Mega Golisopod and base Garchomp since Mega Garchomp Z is not my style on playing pokemon, its just im not really into the "Glass Cannon" thing or and speedster type in general. The reason on why i chose the rain strategy is because it complements Mega Golisopod the best, and i love love spending time in my room when its raining hard outside, especially when class is suspended because of it. ARCHALUDON: LOOKS GOOFY AND MENACING AT THE SAME TIME PELIPER: FUNNY LOOKING BIRD, ALSO PELICANS ARE MY FAVORITE SPECIES OF BIRD GLIMMORA/MEGA GLIMMORA: I THINK THE OVERGROWN PETALS ORBITING AROUND THE MAIN BODY IS SO COOL GRIMMSNARL: HE REMINDS ME OF DOBBY FROM HARRY POTTER HOW TO BEAT GHOLDENGO WITH MEGA RAICHU Y - GARCHOMP AND MEGA GOLISOPOD ( LEAD ) - ARCHALUDON PELIPER ( BACK ) GHOLDENGO WITH SYLVEON MEGA GOLISOPOD AND GLIMMORA - ANYTHING ( BACK ) FLOETTE WITH INCINEROAR GLIMMORA AND GOLISOPOD ( LEAD ) ( mega depending on what needs to defeated asap ANYTHING ( BACK ) personal note- im not that good at vgc, but i am interested im just doing this as a hobby, so ill try to make do with my favorites. Im aware that this is no where meta, and teams like mine probably wont make it far in tournaments. It sucks i know but this is just a game and im just doing this for fun. I just use pokemon to distract myself from my thoughts and the things that im trying to suppress. In fact im grateful for pokemon and the people who make these kinds of tools because they provided a portal of peace for me. Even now pokemon has been doing wonders for me. Bug type pokemon is genuinely the only reason that i didnt totaly freak out at anything insect related. The all BEST FRIEND thing on pokemon just comforts me.
