1. Agreement

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of PokeSynergy, a product operated by Scoriox, ABN 31 525 890 100, including the team builder, SynerDex, account features, local storage features, cloud backup or sync features, import/export tools, and related websites or services.

By using PokeSynergy or creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use account-backed features.

2. What PokeSynergy provides

PokeSynergy is a competitive Pokemon team-building and metagame analysis tool. It provides explainable matchup summaries, team notes, account profiles, optional cloud backup, and related planning features.

PokeSynergy is a planning aid, not a battle simulator, tournament authority, gambling tool, or guarantee of competitive results. Usage data, matchup labels, recommendations, and calculations may be incomplete, delayed, or wrong.

3. Accounts and eligibility

You may use the local team-building loop without an account. Account creation is optional and adds identity, profile, backup, sync, and future account-only features.

You are responsible for keeping your login method secure and for activity under your account. Use accurate account information and do not impersonate another person or organization.

You must be legally able to agree to these Terms. If you are under the age required to form a binding agreement in your location, you may use account features only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

4. Your teams, notes, and profile data

Your team data, notes, profile selections, and imported sets remain yours. You grant Scoriox a limited license to store, process, display, transmit, back up, sync, analyze, aggregate, and otherwise use that data as needed to operate, protect, maintain, and improve PokeSynergy and related app features.

Scoriox may use de-identified or aggregated app data to build or improve features that are not shown only to you, such as product analytics, quality checks, recommendations, matchup insights, usage summaries, internal testing, and future PokeSynergy tools. Scoriox will not intentionally publish your private team notes or identify you as the source of a specific private team without your permission.

Local browser data remains on your device unless you export it, share it, or choose an account/cloud feature that sends it to Scoriox infrastructure. Signing in, signing out, account deletion, or sync actions should not be treated as permission to erase your local teams.

Cloud backup and sync are additive to local storage. If conflicts occur between local and cloud data, Scoriox may ask you to choose which copy to keep instead of silently overwriting either copy.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use PokeSynergy to break the law, interfere with the service, bypass security, scrape aggressively, attack infrastructure, distribute malware, spam other users, harass people, infringe intellectual property rights, or attempt unauthorized access to accounts, data, or systems.

Do not upload, store, or share content that is illegal, abusive, hateful, sexually exploitative, invasive of privacy, or intended to harm others. Scoriox may remove content, limit features, suspend accounts, or delete accounts when needed to protect users, the service, or legal obligations.

6. Third-party services

Scoriox uses third-party services for authentication, hosting, analytics, databases, and related infrastructure. These services may process data according to their own terms and privacy policies.

Authentication providers such as Clerk and social login providers manage login credentials and provider tokens. Scoriox does not ask you to provide OAuth access tokens directly and does not store provider secrets in team/profile records.

Pokemon data, usage data, sprites, icons, and external references may come from public or third-party sources. Those sources can change, become unavailable, or contain errors.

7. Pokemon intellectual property

PokeSynergy is an independent fan-made competitive planning tool operated by Scoriox. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by Nintendo, Game Freak, Creatures, The Pokemon Company, Pokemon Showdown, Smogon, Pikalytics, or any tournament organizer.

Pokemon names, images, sprites, marks, and related materials belong to their respective owners. Scoriox uses them only to identify game content and support team-building functionality in PokeSynergy.

8. Privacy and email consent

Account creation requires agreement to the current Terms and Privacy Policy. The app records the accepted terms version, privacy version, acceptance time, and acceptance source so account features can verify consent.

Marketing email consent is separate from account email and is unchecked by default. You can decline marketing messages and still use account features. Future promotional email must include an unsubscribe path and honor opt-outs.

Transactional and account-related messages, such as login, verification, security, sync, or deletion notices, may be sent when needed to provide or protect your account.

9. Availability and changes

Scoriox may change, pause, restrict, or discontinue PokeSynergy features. The service may be unavailable because of maintenance, provider outages, data-source changes, bugs, abuse prevention, or events outside reasonable control.

Data formats, Pokemon legality, usage sources, default recommendations, and analysis heuristics may change as the app improves. Scoriox will try to preserve saved teams and support backward-compatible migrations where practical.

10. Deletion and termination

You may stop using PokeSynergy at any time. Account deletion should provide a path to delete the app profile, cloud teams, consent records, and account-owned app data where supported by the relevant auth provider and infrastructure.

Scoriox may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for other users or the service, or create legal exposure. Local browser data under your control may remain on your device unless you delete it.

11. Disclaimers

PokeSynergy is provided as is and as available. To the maximum extent allowed by law, Scoriox disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, data accuracy, and error-free operation.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited, including mandatory consumer protections that apply in your location.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Scoriox will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, tournament results, account-provider issues, or third-party service failures.

Where liability cannot be excluded, Scoriox's liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid to use the service in the three months before the claim or USD $100, unless applicable law requires a different result.

13. Updates to these Terms

Scoriox may update these Terms as the app, account features, sync behavior, legal requirements, or business model changes. Material updates should be presented in the app or on the site before they apply to account features.

Continuing to use account features after updated Terms take effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, you can stop using account-backed features and keep using local data that remains on your device.

14. Contact and legal review

Questions about these Terms should be sent to scorioxyt@gmail.com or through another official contact channel published by Scoriox or PokeSynergy. Before a broad public launch or paid plans, these Terms should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel and updated with the final contact address, governing law, and dispute process.
